1. Agreeing to these terms
By using APABET SAFEZONE you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. If you are under 18, a parent, guardian, teacher or other responsible adult must read these terms and supervise you.
2. What SAFEZONE is
SAFEZONE is a security-awareness and first-aid awareness training game made up of timed scenarios. It is educational. It is not professional, security, medical or legal advice, and it does not replace formal training, first-aid certification, or the instructions of the police, emergency services or your employer. In a real emergency, call the emergency services and follow their instructions.
3. Who can use it
- People under 18 may use only the Basic Security and First Aid for Kids categories, and only under adult supervision.
- All other categories are intended for people aged 18 and over.
- You must give accurate information when you claim a certificate.
4. Certificates
- A SAFEZONE certificate shows that you completed the stated training level in the app. It is not a licence to practise, a professional qualification, or an accreditation by any regulator or professional body.
- Where a certificate mentions Continuing Professional Development (CPE or CPD) points, these are recommended by us at our professional discretion. Whether your employer, professional body or any other organisation accepts them is for that organisation to decide, and we do not promise that it will.
- The name on your certificate is the name you enter when you claim it. Please check it carefully. If you notice a mistake, contact us and we will correct it where we reasonably can.
- Some certificates are free and some are paid. The price is shown in Naira before you pay.
5. Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Flutterwave. Your certificate is a digital product delivered by email straight after payment is verified. Our Refund Policy explains when refunds are available. Nothing in these terms or that policy takes away any rights you have under Nigerian consumer protection law.
6. Organisation licence codes
Licence codes are issued to organisations so that their people can claim certificates. A code may be used only by the people the organisation intends, and only within its allowance. We may cancel a code that is shared publicly or misused.
7. Fair use
When you use the app you agree not to:
- enter display names that are offensive, abusive, impersonate someone, or include other people's personal data;
- manipulate the leaderboard, use bots or automated tools, or try to get certificates you have not earned;
- copy, scrape or resell the scenarios, questions or answers, or try to break or overload our systems.
We may remove leaderboard entries or block use that breaks these rules.
8. Our content
The app, its questions, scenarios, certificates, logos and design belong to Apabet Consulting Limited or are used with permission. You may use the app for your own learning or your organisation's internal training. You may not copy or republish it commercially without our written permission. The APABET and SAFEZONE names and logos may not be used without permission.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the app running but do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, pause or withdraw features, categories or prices. A price change does not affect a certificate you have already paid for.
10. Our responsibility to you
We provide the app with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss or harm that results from relying on the training content in a real situation, or from an interruption to the service. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected with the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes will be dealt with by the courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. We would like the chance to resolve any complaint with you directly first, by email.
